The last couple of months I haven't written a monthly favourites post. Mainly as I haven't had many new favourites the past couple of months but also due to forgetting that it's the end of the month. So I've decided to do things a little differently this month. I'm bringing you a mid month favourites post of bits and pieces I've been loving recently/over the past couple of months. I then won't do a March favourites but will get back on track in April ... or at least that's the current plan!
The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil
The lovely Laya on my course introduced me to this cleansing oil. Usually I would run a mile from this sort of product as it's just too messy for my liking. However, having put on and taken off makeup more times in a day than I can count or care to remember this little beauty is AMAZING! You only need to massage one pump of oil all over your face and then rinse with water. And ta-da no makeup! It really is that simple and it even works with waterproof mascara, a big bonus as they can be a bugger to remove!
Clarins Cleansing Milk
This little beaut made my favourites last June and to be honest it hasn't really left them! I use this nearly every day (I have other cleansers too!) and it's definitely my favourite cleanser. I absolutely love the smell and it leaves my face feeling so refreshed. If you haven't already tried this then I recommend you do! It's great for those with sensitive skin too.
L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream
I posted about this little gem only a couple of weeks ago so I won't rant and rave about it. If you would like to read the full review, click here.
Zoeva Face Shape Brush
I recently treated myself to a set of Zoeva brushes. It would normally have been a little bit of an extravagance, however now I'm a fully qualified makeup artist I need a good set of brushes or 2/3/4! I love the quality of the Zoeva brushes and for the price you can't go wrong! The face shape brush is one of my favourites from the set and I actually use it to apply my foundation as it fits well around the eyes and nose.
MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Mascara
If you've been reading my blog for a while you will know that I go through phases with mascara but that I'm equally very specific with the type of wand that I like. This one from MAC was used in a demo by one of MAC's senior makeup artists and I was sold. I bought it and was just as impressed using it as I had been watching someone else use it. I'm right at the end of my current one, but trying to eek it out until I can get round to buying a new one.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream
This is my all time favourite night cream however I stopped using it for a while. With the cold weather having returned, or should I say with the cold weather having stuck around ... I've been reaching for this a lot more. It's so moisturising and I've found that having been unwell this last week or so, it's really helped with the dry skin I've had.
Muji Fine Tipped Cotton Buds
Most people will find these utterly boring and say but they're just cotton buds. No, you are wrong, these are a makeup artists best friend. I never knew they existed until I did my training but they can be life savers. The regular cotton buds that we all have lying around here, there and everywhere are great but for makeup purposes they're just not that precise. These ones are much finer and don't leave a fluffy residue everywhere. Great for perfecting that winged eyeliner or neatening up that bold lip.
What are you loving at the moment? Any products the same as mine?
