Review: L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream

Good morning lovelies! I wanted to review this little gem today because it is my new best friend. I actually bought this quite a while ago and it's sat amongst my makeup collection, only seeing the light of day every once in a while. However having put it into my makeup kit and using it several times, I gave it another go. And I'm pleased I did!

L'Oreal have launched 2 shades in their blur cream. I bought the light to medium skin, however they also do a medium to dark skin. Although the choice is very limited, these 2 shades tend to suit the majority of people as it's a cream with very slight colour as opposed to a foundation which has high colour coverage.

The product itself is more of a paste than a cream. It's quite thick but very moveable and soaks into the skin without leaving it tacky. The cream has a velvety finish and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth.

Before & After

As you can see from the before and after pictures, the cream certainly does blur the skin. I have quite visible pores on and around my nose and suffer from redness so this is perfect at smoothing over the pores and reducing the redness. I've read quite mixed reviews about whether it does "blur" but I can certainly say it works for me.

It doesn't give coverage but it evens out the skin tone, something that I think people don't understand when purchasing the product. Many of the reviews have been negative due to it not giving coverage. I love using it on days I don't fancy wearing makeup because it does give that even appearance to the skin, however I also use it under makeup and it's an equally good base/primer for my foundation. I've also found I'm using less foundation as this does half the job for me.

At £9.99 this is a steal compared to some of it's competitors and I would definitely recommend it whether you like the natural look or whether you want a good base for your makeup. I'm definitely going to get my hands on a couple more of these and invest in both shades for my kit.

Have you tried this product? What did you think of it?
