For Ben's birthday/Christmas (I can't remember which!) last year I bought him an indoor skydive for 2. Obviously with the intention of going with him to do it. We had 10 months to use the voucher so of course decided to use it just before it runs out! I've always said I would skydive … certainly over bungee jumping any day! However I am a bit of a chicken when it comes to these adrenaline junkie activities so thought an indoor skydive was a good compromise before fully committing to the real thing! Plus it makes for a fun day out!
It was absolutely amazing and I would definitely recommend it! We did ours with Airkix in Basingstoke and there are also centres in Milton Keynes and Manchester. We had two 1 minute flights which sounds really short but it's plenty of time! Ben will probably hate me for saying this (sorry Ben if you're reading) but I was definitely better than him!
Here are some pics that were taken on the day…
As we flew at about half 12, we were starving when we came out as we didn't want to eat before and feel really sick! We decided to head into Basingstoke town centre to find somewhere to eat. Neither of us had ever been so it was nice going for a wander. We ended up having lunch at a restaurant called Coal. Neither of us had heard of it but it was very yummy! When we arrived home we both really fancied some cake so we went to one of the local cake shops/cafes and picked up 4 scummy cupcakes!
Top Left: Starter of Calamari, Breaded Brie and Cheesy Jalapeños.
Top Right: Ben's Cheese, Ham, Tomato & Pesto Ciabatta.
Bottom Left: My Chicken, Brie & Cranberry Panini.
Bottom Right: Our scrum my cupcakes - carrot cake, oreo cookie, double chocolate and red velvet.
I really enjoyed our day out as it's not often we get to spend time together! And it certainly wasn't your average day out either! I would definitely recommend going and I really want to go back again, or even do the real thing now!
I hope you enjoyed a slightly different post for me. I really enjoyed doing more of a lifestyle post!
Have you ever done a skydive? Was it an indoor or outdoor one? Or would you ever consider it?
