August Birchbox

Apologies for being a little quiet the last few days. I've been getting really awful headaches so have been avoiding my laptop for a while. I'm feeling much better so can finally get back on track with blogging! First up is my August Birchbox post...

The theme for this months Birchbox was Away We Go so the box was full of holiday essentials.

It was nice to see the products packaged in something other than a drawstring bag. I think this little plastic case is so cute and perfect for those day trips to the beach when you have items you really don't want getting sandy!

The Proposal by Tasmina Perry

This is such a cute idea and perfect if you're not sure whether you will like a book! I've heard good things about this book so I may well end up purchasing the actual book for £7.99.

Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect

I've not heard of this brand before but I'm always up for trying out new hair products. This is a leave in conditioning spray which aims to detangle and protect hair against heat and sun damage. A full size bottle will cost you £20.

Wild About Beauty Powder Eyeshadow

I received the shade 05 Fern which is beautiful and have found that if you blend it out well then you could use this as a highlighter too! These eyeshadows cost £13.

Liaison De Parfum EDP

Again I've never heard of this fragrance but I'm always up for finding a new signature scent! A bottle of this perfume will cost you £105 so I'm hoping I wont like it too much!

Sarah McNamara Beauty New York Miracle Skin Transformer Hydroactive Microderm

Well isn't this a mouthful of a title for just one diddy product! In simple language this is an exfoliator to smooth, refine and polish skin for summer! A full size tube will cost you £25.

Dead Sea Spa Magik Refreshing Bath Shower Gel

I love the packaging of this. I think it looks so fresh and I love that you can double it up as a shower gel and a bubble bath. Think I'm going to like this one! This is a little more affordable than the other products at £7.15 for a full size.

I wasn't as impressed with this month's box as I have been with others but I think that may be because I don't really recognise any of the brands in this months box.

Do you subscribe to Birchbox? What did you get in your box? Or have you tried any of these products?

  1. I still haven't been convinced to sign up to a beauty box, I like the little bag though, it's a nice change from other boxes. Glad your headaches are easing off!Jenn

    1. I really like getting bits and pieces each month but not sure I would sign up and pay for it myself (this was a birthday present last year). X

  2. I'm jealous of what you got! I got shampoo, conditioner, perfume sample, a tiny primer sample and a decent sized bronzer. I love that eyeshadow you got! It swatches so pretty!

    1. It's so strange how people get such different things! You would think at least a couple would be the same! X
