Battle of the Micellar Waters

Apologies for being a bit quiet these past few days. I had Ben's graduation for his masters on Tuesday so spent a couple of days in Portsmouth before heading to my grans for a couple of days. I arrived at my grans to find I couldn't get any internet, had a massive hissy fit to then find a day later that actually the internet did work but on my laptop and not my phone!

Anyway, I can finally bring you all another blog post! Also don't forget to enter my giveaway as it finishes in 2 hours! You can enter it here or just over there ---->.

Micellar water is something which has taken off in the world of beauty within the last year or so and now the majority of skincare brands produce their own equivalent version. I first bought the L'Oreal one just after it was launched and used that for quite a while before buying the Garnier one when it was later released.

When I first used the L'Oreal one I loved it. It was a new way of cleansing that I had never tried as I've always used a cream cleanser. This was much kinder on removing makeup from my eyes and was so refreshing. However, when the Garnier one was released, this took centre stage and has continued to ever since. I'm not sure why I prefer the Garnier one as they're more than likely very similar but it's definitely a lot kinder on my skin. I find that after a while of using the L'Oreal one, my eyes can sometimes itch for a couple of days unless I take a break from using it. Whereas I've never had a problem with the Garnier one AND it's great at removing waterproof eye makeup.

A big bonus of the Garnier one is that you get double the amount of product for exactly the same price. So in my eyes, why would you buy the L'Oreal one when you get twice as much in the Garnier one? Unless of course you prefer the L'Oreal one! My other dislike for the L'Oreal one is that the cap is awful. The solution is very hard to control when trying to apply some to a cotton pad and it usually ends up squirting everywhere! Something I'm really not a fan of, especially when I have to clear it up late at night!

I think it's safe to say that the Garnier Micellar water is definitely a winner in my eyes and will certainly be repurchased for the foreseeable future! I'd love to try some other brands but for the moment, I feel you can't beat the Garnier one for both amount of product and the very reasonable price!

Have you tried either of these products? If so which one and what do you think of it? Or are there any other Micellar waters you would suggest?
