ELF Haul

A few weeks ago, I decided to take the plunge and try some products from ELF. They had a 50% off promotion on and having heard great things about some of their products from other bloggers, I decided to place an order. I wasn't really after anything in particular so I went through pretty much everything on their website and ordered the bits that caught my eye.

I'm always on the lookout for a new brush cleaner to try as I'm on the hunt for the best one that will give a good spot clean in-between washes. I'll let you know how I get on with this one once I've tried it. I also ordered a crease brush as you can never have too many of these! And for the rest of the makeup...

Baked Eyeshadow Palette in California

The first thing I ordered was this eyeshadow palette. It's their baked palette in California. The shades are all so beautiful and I went for this as all the colours are very wearable. I haven't tried this out yet, but hopefully I will post about the palette itself with swatches and some different looks.

Studio Eyebrow Kit in Medium

This was an exciting purchase as I've never used an eyebrow kit before. I've always been a pencil girl but have to say having used this every day since I received it, I think I might finally be a convert! I absolutely love the look this kit gives and it is the perfect shade for me. Definitely going to repurchase this!

Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in Rock Out

I'm not sure why I bought this Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick other than the fact that I love the colour. I do like a simple eyeshadow that you can whack on in 2 seconds on those days where you can't be bothered to spend ages perfecting a look. I may well have to buy a couple more of these to mix it up a bit!

HD Blush in Superstar

Recently, I've really been into using cream blush. I spotted this one and thought I would give it a try. I've used it a couple of times but I think it's a bit bright for me, on the website it looks like a pale coral-pink. Hopefully once I've been on holiday and got a bit more of a tan, it will look better!

Mineral Eye Liner in Metallic Purple

I'm not very good at mixing up my eyeliner. I always stick to my Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal eyeliner in black and even though I have numerous other shades, they hardly get used. However I spotted this liner which is a deep plum colour and thought it would be ideal for breaking me into using other colours, without going full on in-your-face bright and lary.

L-R: Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in Rock Out, Mineral Eye Liner in Metallic Purple & HD Blush in Superstar

So far I've been really impressed with the couple of items I've tried, it's just a shame the blusher shade is so bright, otherwise I would have been using it everyday! Once I've tried all the products and used them for a bit longer, I'll definitely review some, if not, all of them!

Have you tried ELF products? What do you think of them? Which of their products would you recommend?

  1. I do like some of the stuff from e.l.f. I think they're a bit hit and miss though. My favourite product is probably the jumbo lip gloss stick in sangria starters. Some of the other shades seem to have a slightly different formula though.

    1. Yeah I definitely think you have to be selective with their products! X

  2. We've just recently had Elf appear in more Australian stores, I will have to give it a go, it's very reasonably priced! :)

    1. Ah that's good, yeah definitely see what you think of it! X

  3. I love the eyebrow kit! I'm such a convert as well - use it everyday x

    Jasmin Charlotte

    1. I definitely think I'm going to invest in another one, maybe another brand to compare! X

  4. Love the look of the HD blush.. I need to give ELF a good go, I've heard so many good things about their products.

    Nicola xx

    1. It's a really lovely formula, I just wish the colour wasn't so bright! Yeah I would definitely recommend trying their products, some of them are really good, you just have to be selective! X
