So I recently did a Boots shop on my lunch break at work. I had a few bits to pick up but ended up going a little mad and spending far too much! And what better way to make myself feel better than doing a blog post showing you all the bits I picked up so you can reassure me that I really did need it all!
I didn't intend to pick up any more Real Techniques brushes but they were on 3 for 2 so how could I resist? I also had a slight disaster with a couple of my brushes the day before so of course I had to stock up just in case the others weren't salvageable! For those wondering my brushes survived!
I'm a big fan of Simple's skincare. I have just run out of both face wipes and my eye makeup remover. Simple also had a 3 for 2 deal. Before you all start having a hissy fit because I've bought face wipes, I don't use these daily but I like to have some in stock for those evenings where you just really can't be bothered to spend time on make up remover, cleanser and toner. Instead I will use a face wipe in the evening and maybe cleanse, if not then I cleanse and tone the following morning for definite!
A very boring purchase but a must have! I absolutely love Mitchum deodorant and wouldn't switch back to any other brand because I hate deodorants that leave white powdery marks.
Clarins have an amazing deal on in Boots at the moment. If you buy 2 products, one being skincare, then you get £10.00 worth of Boots points. I'm running out of my Simple cleanser so thought I would try the Clarins one. I know it's a bit more pricey than Simple but I've heard great things about it so decided to give it a try and see for myself! I also bought an Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. I already own one of these and absolutely love it! The scent is amazing and leaves my lips feeling so soft and nourished. My mum liked mine so much I bought one for her!
Some more skincare purchases here. I already use the Nivea Express Hydration Primer so this was just a repurchase because I absolutely love it and wouldn't be without it! I also decided to try the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I already use the L'Oreal one so I'm interested to see how this compares. I've used it a couple of time since I bought it and so far I absolutely love it! I also decided to buy the La Roche-Posay Rosaliac CC Creme. I've been on the hunt for a CC cream for a while to help with my redness but I didn't want to go for another green cream. I scoured the blogosphere for reviews and finally decided it was worth a try. I'm definitely going to do a full post on this once I've used it a few more times.
Finally I re-purchased a couple of makeup items that I was running low on. I absolutely love this mascara and my one is just starting to go a bit clumpy and thick so I decided it was time for a new one. I also bought another Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. I only bought a replacement a couple of months ago and still have a fair bit left but I always like to have some in stock as they never seem to stock many these days!
So there you have the bits I picked up in Boots! I can't believe I spent so much money but I've convinced myself it was worth it for the extra Boots points and I did get discount too!
What do you think of the bits I picked up in Boots? Do you own any of these products? What do you think of them?
