Revlon Colorburst Balms

Why is it, that us girls cannot just buy 1 shade of a new lip product? I had told myself that I didn't need any more lip products and having added these into my Boots basket, I was very good and promptly left the page. However about a week later I was ordering some bits from Boots and couldn't resist any longer. I ordered a lacquer balm in the shade Enticing (pictured far left). I loved it so much that I wanted to pick up another colour. Yes, 1 more. So, what did I end up with? 3 more! It was rude not to as Revlon had 3 for 2 on so why not! Originally I was going to buy 3 more lacquer balms as I'm not a big fan of matte lip products, however as I was going to get one free I thought I would try a matte one!

L-R: Enticing, Demure, Vivacious & Striking

I am literally in love with these right now and they're all I'm wearing. The lacquer balms are so moisturising and don't dry my lips out at all. When applying them, they don't feel as though they would last long but I wore Enticing out the other day and it lasted for a good few hours. I'm also really impressed with the matte one too and it's not nearly as drying as I thought it would be.

Look at the pretty colours! It took me so long to decide which shades to go with. I really wanted to try the lacquer balm in Tease which is an orangey shade. I love this colour swatched on my hand but I just don't think I suit orangey lips - maybe a future purchase lined up there!

Bottom L-R: Vivacious & Striking

As you can see from my lips, Demure does settle in any fine lines on the lips, however this can be avoided by applying some vaseline before applying these. I have also layered these up here for a bold colour, however you can just apply one sweep of colour for a toned down look.

It's safe to say I have fallen in love with these and no doubt my collection will grow in the coming months! They're affordable at £7.99 and are 3 for 2 at the moment in Boots

Have you tried any of the Revlon colorburst balms? Which are your favourite shades?

    1. Well, funny you should say that, I was meant to be on a spending ban in February! So far it's completely gone out the window, maybe I'll do it in March instead! Demure is definitely getting a lot of use at the moment as it's great just to pop on quickly before going out! X

  5. Demure and vivacious are definitely on my list now. I was favouring the matte balms but I really like the look of the glossy ones too!
Oh more to add to my wish list, go on then!

    1. Yeah I love both these shades of red and it's great because as I said you can just put one coat on for a subtle look or build it up for a really bright colour! X
