January Favourites

Beauty Protection Leave In Conditioner

I received this product in my December Birchbox and have been loving it. After towel drying my hair I spray this all over my hair but focus more on the ends. It smells amazing! It has definitely made my hair less frizzy and a lot softer and smoother. I would also recommend this because it doesn't leave your hair sticky or crispy.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 02 Fair Matte

This product featured earlier in January in my Body Shop Haul. I am so pleased with this product, the colour is perfect as it's not too dark but the perfect colour for adding some contour to my face and making me look slightly less pale. It's so handy having a mirror incorporated in the packaging and the honeycomb effect is so cute. This has definitely become a firm favourite and I'm sure several other bloggers would agree!

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black

I've had this pot of gel eyeliner for quite a while now but I find I have quite a love-hate relationship with it. I'll go through phases of absolutely loving it and then I won't touch it again for a few months (I wouldn't say I hate it but you know what I mean!). Recently I started using it again and it has been my go to eyeliner.

Benefit World Famous Neutrals - Easiest Nudes Ever

I received this for my birthday which was just before Christmas. I knew I was getting it and was so excited to try it out. I have been loving these shades as they're all so wearable both toned down during the day and jazzed up at night. I've also been using the two cream shadows with my other eyeshadow as I find applying this first as a base really helps my eyeshadow stay in place all day. See swatches and these shadows in use on My Christmas Look post.

The Body Shop Lipscuff

This was another product that featured in my Body Shop Haul. I mentioned that I really liked the idea of it as it was much more convenient for carrying around than the Lush Lip Scrub. Having used pretty much everyday for the last month, I definitely prefer it to the Lush Lip Scrub. I find it's not as harsh and it's so quick and easy to apply. I'm still not convinced I would spend £8 on this but I purchased it with 40% off for £4.80 and would do again if this offer was available.

Estée Lauder Modern Muse Eau De Parfum

I received this perfume for Christmas as I had been after it ever since it was released. It was also part of the deal in buying the Estée Lauder Make Up Artist Professional Colour Collection for £50 instead of £250. I have worn this perfume most days and really like the scent. According to EL the scent is "an alluring contrast of sparkling florals and sleek, sensual woods".

Estée Lauder Lipgloss in Garnet Desire

This was one of the products included in the Estée Lauder Make Up Artist Professional Colour Collection. I'm not usually a lipgloss fan as I hate the sticky feeling and nothing is more annoying than your hair getting stuck to your lips! This lipgloss is not at all sticky and the colour payoff is amazing. I've also found it lasts really well for a lipgloss. Here's what it looks like on…

What were your January favourites? Were any of them the same as mine?

  1. The honey bronzer has been on my wishlist for ages, gonna have to pick that up! Gonna have to try that Maybelline gel liner as my MAC one is beloved and a drugstore drupe would be great.. and that benefit palette looks bloomin' gorgeous. :3

    1. Ah you should definitely try it! If you do, just be aware that the shades come up very light! I would usually go for the lightest but went for number 2 of 4 and could possibly have got away with going for number 3. Ah I've never tried the MAC one but would definitely recommend this one! X

    1. They're a lovely mix of nudes - I wouldn't normally go for a couple of the shades on their own but having incorporated them into some of the looks I've created, they've grown on me! X

    1. Thank you! It's lovely. It would definitely help dry and frizzy hair! I received this in a Birchbox so not 100% sure where you can pick it up. But you can definitely buy it online through the Birchbox website! X

  5. Really want to try out The Body Shop honey bronzer. It sounds so good! And I've been put off lipglosses because usually they're so sticky, so the Estee Lauder one sounds perfect!x

    1. It's definitely my all time favourite lipgloss for all reasons. I have exactly the same one in a more nudey-peach colour but it's just not as nice as this one! X
