The Body Shop Haul

Recently, The Body Shop has had some really good deals on. Around Christmas time they had 50% off as well as their sale on. I managed to resist the temptation but last week I received an email to say they had 40% off. This time I caved and promptly added some goodies to my basket … before I knew it the confirmation email was in my inbox!

Here's what I bought (swatches at the end)...

Lipscuff
This is a lip exfoliator and what drew me to it was that it was in a handy lipstick container. I love the Lush Lip Scrub but it isn't particularly convenient for carrying around so The Body Shop one gets thumbs up from me here! I saw this product online about a year ago and was very tempted by it but managed to resist. Curiosity got the better of me this time and I decided to try it.
Originally £8, with discount £4.80.

Vitamin E Cool BB Cream
I wasn't aware that The Body Shop had produced a BB cream but when helping my mum to sort through her makeup recently I came across it. I own the Garnier BB cream but after my mum was raving about this one I tried a bit of hers on my hand and the rest is history! This is going to be perfect for summer so although I probably won't get a huge amount of use out of it now, it's an investment!
Originally £10, with discount £6.

Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 02 Fair Matte
I have been after a new bronzer for a while now because all the ones I own are far too dark for my pale winter skin! I also wanted a matte shade that could double up as a contouring product. I read the reviews for this product and so many people with pale skin were loving this product as the colours come out quite light. Before reading the reviews I would have gone for the shade 01 Light Matte however as so many people were recommending to go for a darker one I settled for 02 Fair Matte. I'm so pleased I did because it's perfect!
Originally £13, with discount £7.80.

Colour Crush Lipstick in 340 Berry Me
The Colour Crush Lipstick range is relatively new to The Body Shop and caught my attention because of the extensive range of shades. All the pretty colours lured me in and I found myself with a huge problem on my hands … which colour to go for?!? If money was no object then one of each shade would have swiftly made their way into my basket, however I decided this was a tad excessive so settled for just one in the end. It took me about an hour to study the swatches and narrow down which shade to go for but I'm pleased with my choice as I have nothing like this.
Originally £10, with discount £6.

Lightening Touch Universal Radiance
I'm a fan of YSL's Touche Eclat Complexion Highlighter but repurchasing this bad boy at £25 is a bit of an extravagance. So I decided to see whether I could find a good dupe. And hey presto as I was scrolling through the pages on The Body Shop I found one! The packaging looks so similar so hopefully the product inside is just as good!
Originally £14, with discount £8.40.

Brow Definer in 02 Brunette
I have been after a new brow pencil for a while now. I usually use MAC Eye Brows in Lingering but as it's £13 I'm trying to find some cheaper alternatives and save this for special occasions. The Body Shop brow pencil had really good reviews so hopefully I'll love it as much as everyone else!
Originally £8 and with discount £4.80.

Swatches

Top - Bottom: Vitamin E Cool BB Cream, Brow Definer in 02 Brunette, Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 02 Fair Matte & Colour Crush Lipstick in 340 Berry Me.

So there you have my purchases from They Body Shop. This little lot should have cost me £63 but with discount it cost me £37.80. I think this is amazing value and I probably wouldn't have bought a couple of these products at their full price! I definitely think a review of these items is in order once I've used them for a while!

Have you tried any of these products? What do you think of them? Or are any of these on your wish list?

  2. I've just bought this BB cream, it's the perfect match for my skin! Only problem I'm finding is that the coverage is absolutely minimal, I guess that's to be expected from a BB cream though. You've picked such good products! xx

    1. Yeah you don't want too much coverage in the summer when it's really hot! Have you tried building it up a bit at a time? I find that helps with my other BB cream so may be worth a shot! Aw thank you :) x

  3. This chemical does improve some peoples acne but it can be found is very cheap products
at your local pharmacy. Blackheads are not caused by dirt; rather
there is a bacteria that normally lives on the skin and thrives on the sebum produced by oil glands.
In this modern, consumer driven world, we have been trained to
believe that we can have what we want, and we can have
it now, but the old axioms still hold true.
