Blogmas Day 4 - New York Scrapbook

Welcome to Day 4 of Blogmas! I hope you have been enjoying my posts so far! Today I wanted to post something a bit different so I hope you like it!

Last December I was lucky enough to go to New York for 4 days for my 21st birthday. Ever since I watched James & The Giant Peach when I was about 5, I have always wanted to go to New York and go up the Empire State Building. So when my parents told me that I was going for my 21st I was ecstatic. Especially to go so near to Christmas as New York has amazing decorations and window displays … it was truly magical!

Whilst we were there, we took over 700 photos! It took a while to sort through them all but once I had, I decided I wanted to document my trip rather than just having a folder of photos on my laptop. And so I decided to make a New York scrapbook.

I looked online for a New York themed scrapbook but in the end I settled for the map one pictured in the photo above. I absolutely love maps (Geography geek alert!) and fell in love with this Scrapbook! It was £10.00 from Paperchase. I also bought some photo corners from Paperchase for £1.25. I ordered my photos from Boots and they also had a deal on so I saved a fair bit as I ordered so many photos!

I decided that I would put my photos in order of what we did so that I could remember it in years to come! I saved all our tickets and various mementos from the holiday so I could stick these in with the photos.

Finally I ordered some extra stickers and paper to make it a bit more special.

I can't wait to put it all together but I think it may have to wait until after Christmas now when things have quietened down a bit!

Do you make scrapbooks of your holidays? Would you like to see my scrapbook once I've made it?

  1. I always try to make scrapbooks, and get all the supplies together, then do like one page and leave it for months haha. They are amazing keepsakes when you're done though. Paperchase seriously have the best scrapbooks too.

    1. I recon I'm going to be exactly the same, I can guarantee that I'll do a bit and then leave it for a couple of months before going back to it! They definitely do and I think they're really good value too! X
